Writing Rules

Language and Style: All manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct British English. Submissions should be free of jargon and accessible to a broad educational audience, reflecting the standards of the Institute for Education. Submissions in Maltese related to research on Maltese linguistics and literacy are permitted. However, papers submitted in Maltese must include an abstract in English in addition to the abstract in Maltese.

Manuscript Length: Articles should generally be between 4,000 to 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

Formatting: Manuscripts should follow APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition style guidelines. The preferred font is Times New Roman, size 12.

Referencing: Use the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition referencing style for all citations and references. Ensure that all references are complete and accurate.
